Wadi Mujib extends for over 45 miles (30 km) from east to west across the country, from almost 3,000 feer (900 m) above sea level near Karak to the Dead Sea, 1,378 feet (400m) below sea level. The valley changes abruptly from being 2.5 miles (4km) wide to a narrow gorge through which the Mujib River gushes. Walk across rough terrain, swim, and descend a 66-foot high waterfall.
It;s a tough, exciting challenge that will energize and motivate any active traveler. All clothes, including shoes, will get completely wet, so water-shoes or water-proof sandals are advised.
